Seven world class athletes. Seven sets of goals and dreams.
Phase two of the campaign featured world-class athletes like Maria Sharapova and Alyson Felix, alongside cultural icons like Lea Michele blending star power with authentic community engagement. By encouraging everyday women to share their fitness journeys on social media, Nike created a movement that is inclusive, empowering, and built for lasting impact.

Role, Results, Recognition

I was an ACD level Art Director at AQKA working under Neil Robinson. The big idea came from our team and we helped execute the digital/social campaign. I oversaw the film shoot and edit working with David McMurray ( amazing DoP). We worked on the original campaign and then the second which brought Team Make Yourself onboard lead by a shoot with Anne Leibovitz.

This became a multi-year campaign that ran globally and was an iconic Nike Women platform supporting multiple seasons and products. The social community program largely running on Facebook was incredibly successful.
AKQA built the Nike Women Facebook page from a community of 30,000 women with low engagement to over 750,000 fans in just under 8 months creating a tight knit community eager to get involved and share their stories. Nike Women began posting stories from real girls on Facebook and in banners rewarding fans and highlighting their achievements. It became thriving group of like-minded women eager to get involved and share how they continue to Make Themselves everyday.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
